strikethrough textRe: Wish list : which apps do you need?Today Ireceived my Vollaphone with Ubuntu Touch. Apps I couldn't find in Open store but I'd love are DigiD, Nl-Alert, Thunderbird, tutamail and The Segway scooterapp.
-
@Gelukkig - for some of those apps which have corporate vendors and proprietary code (e.g. Segway) you could try installing Waydroid, and then use the Fdroid store app to install Aurora Store in Waydroid, and then you could try installing the Android apps for these.
For email I highly recommend the Dekko2 app in the Open Store, this works very well in UT in my experience.
There is an experimental port of the desktop version of Thunderbird available at https://gitlab.com/debclick/uthunder/-/jobs/11229095296/artifacts/file/build/aarch64-linux-gnu/app/thunderbird.fuseteam_115_arm64.click
- but this doesn't work well on phones, perhaps it would be ok on tablets. A note that the Thunderbird Android app is just rebranded Kmail, which might work ok in Waydroid.

Hello forum,
I think all apps are available through Waydroid. Unfortunately, for waydroid apps bluetooth does not work!.
That would be my greatest wish that bluetooth could also be used in waydroid.
Then I can connect Spotify to the bluetooth speaker or the Victron app with the inverter.
Greetings

@Charly
Have you tried this one: -
Something compatible with https://floccus.org/ would be really nice to sync bookmarks.
(I am aware that the browser addon should work in uWolf)
-
@Gelukkig DigiD works fine in Waydroid. Probably NL-Alert too, though I don't know what that is.
Other apps you may be interested in on the OpenStore:
-
@TotalSonic Thanks. I have installed Dekko 2. That is working fine. Tutamail is webmail only, so I can't apply that account in Dekko 2. Thunderbird (desktop) has an tutamail extension, that is useful. Or Waydroid I still neet mij Google account and the purpose is to get rid of Google and Apple accounts. That is quite a quest ;-). And that Segway...Well, IT would be nice to start mij scooter, and see the battery condition, but I can do without.

@projectmoon Thanks, I have installed all the apps you mention. For Waydroid I still need a Google account and the purpose is to get rid of Google and Apple accounts

No, you don't. I have Waydroid, and no Google account has ever been used on this phone. What do you think you need it for?
If you think it's the Playstore: first, from the browser, install F-Droid. That gives you an anonymous app store. From F-droid, install the Aurora store; now you have an anonymous Playstore that does not require a Google account.

@Gelukkig Moem is quite right just ignore the prompts to sign in to our friend G
-
@Moem Thanks. as a newbee I immediately tried this. Reply form mij phone is: can't install the download (f-droid.apk) need a click-package . How do I do that? Am feeling so dumb, still have to learn everything.
-
@Lakotaubp thanks

That's because you're trying to install it in UT. Try installing it inside Waydroid instead. On UT, apk packages can only run inside Waydroid; that's why it exists.

The default image of Waydroid does not have Play Services or anything else. As others have said, you can download F-Droid then use that to install Aurora Store, and from there, install apps that are on the Play Store.
But as for bluetooth, this will not work in Waydroid. It is a limitation of Waydroid itself.
