Tiered support suggestion
-
A thought, to encourage new users and users that stay longterm. And donating membets. A tiered support and membership. A place other than forum to become a member, for those who donate $25 or more, dedicated support person which sticks with member until issue solved.

@mawil1013 sorry but I don't see it because all the "support persons" are volunteers like you and me. Also the numbers don't tally if you want to hire someone as a full time help desk, unless there's a lot of people donating $25 per day

@mawil1013 Only speaking very personally, but I like the community feel of UBports and the way it is progressing. Everyone here is volunteering their time and effort to keep things going, improve things and get UBports to as many people as posible.
As far as I have seen both here and on the Telegram group if you need help the support is there, freely given and in most cases the same people stop with it until the problem is resolved or fixed.
I just feel that if we start to bring in levels of membership especially based on donations this will cause more problems and issues.
If you want to donate you can. If you want to donate a huge amount great, if you only donate what you can afford also great. I just don't think the level of support you get should depend on the amount you can afford to donate or even if you donate at all ( but if you can do why not every bit helps).
This is what makes UBports special, all are welcome, all get help and support, and if you want to help out in whatever way I think it will be greatfully received.
Just to stress again this is my personal view only, and I have no wish to upset anyone who may disagree. After all the only reason we're here in the first place is because we love (most of the time ; ) ) UBports Ubuntu Touch. -
