Is there any plan from the UBPorts team to revive the Ubuntu TV project?
I ask because it was a project I was really hoping would succeed.As a TV user, I'm dissatisfied with the current market. TV systems don't seem to offer a truly pleasant user experience.

It was indeed interesting but it's most likely using Unity 7 and not Unity 8/Lomiri so I highly doubt it'll ever come back with Lomiri. I mean it would be nice but it's at the bottom of the priority list.
Also in general, TV is sadly plague with proprietary things so it'll almost impossible to penetrate the market. Unless you don't care about HDR, Dolby, and surround sound and such, you'll be stuck with SDR and sometimes 1080p on Linux.
