Whatsweb app upgrade.

I preferred to have a website opened as a tab in Morph instead of having it separately in a webapp-container - it seemed to me to use less battery. Probably because Morph suspends some of its tabs.
I guess it's also because currently in a webapp, the webview is not minimized/hidden, if the app is unsuspended in background, as I did in Whatsweb (which is pretty simple to do), so the view keeps being rendered. ( Versus considered minimized and do not compute rendering).
I guess that tabs in background in morph, if they are really still running, might be actually considered as minimized, and do not compute rendering. Although I did not know Morph would keep several tabs running in parallel and I guess it could be a problem if we forget tabs running in background.

One question: I changed my simcard this days, because the old one did not work anymore. But somehow I lost my whatsweb connection. Now I don`t know how log in again. I have no old smartphone to scan the code or do it with a phone number? How can I lock in again?
-
@bunt7 I don't know of any other way of using whatsweb but to have an android or ios phone with whatsapp installed and with the help of that phone to scan the qr code that is displayed by whatsweb. For this reason (and for another app that doesn't work in UT waydroid) I have a spare android phone. But my daily driver is UT.
Actually I don't know but maybe whatsapp works inside waydroid? - if yes, then you may install whatsapp on waydroid and somehow take a picture of the qr code from whatsweb and then scan it with whatsapp from within waydroid...

Yes, it works you can download apk from official website.

For the Qr-code option, you need to use a second device to take a picture of the Qr-Code, and then switch to Waydroid app, and scan the Qr-code on the screen of the second device. (I've not tested it for Whatsapp but it works for Signal).
It should also possible to use the phone number option, then you don't need another device, just to copy a code that will appear in the waydroid app. It should be easier!

@pparent Thanks, I got it

Since yesterday night I began experiencing 100% CPU usage by whatsweb and then the app quits. I tried a app cache delete (which resulted in a logout and I had to re-login) and it seemed runing ok for the first few seconds but then it quit again - the same high CPU usage.
Anyone else has this happening to them?
-
Ok I will look at it.
-
At first sight I do see the problem but it happens even when ou JS script is disabled, so this is a problem on whatsapp side. I guess it produces high CPU usage on older chromium version.
I have tested on chromium 87 on dessktop, I have the same high CPU usage problem, for few minutes before it becomes better.
Hopefully they will realize it and do something about it.
This is crazy how they make updates without any testing. In the mean time I might try top publish an alternative app based on electron...

@pparent Again and as always, a big THANK YOU!
