On my Fairphone 4 channel
24.04/dailyI noticed that playback of a longer video in this browser does not block screen saver. The video and sound keeps playing on a black screen and it is necessary to manually wake the screen with a push on the power button.I really miss the "raise-to-wake-screen" or "shake-to-wake-screen" on my Fairphone 4 in these kind of situations where the screen needs to be easily woken up.
On Android, even the cheapest Motorola with IPS screen seems to support this "raise-or-shake-to-wake-up-screen" functionality. I think it uses the accelerometer sensor to notice the raising or shaking and does the same as if power button was pushed.
I like that the text size on largest setting makes the text bigger. However, the text size in search bar on top, or in settings remains to be tiny. On my Fairphone 4, the largest text size looks as normal text size. The text could be enlarged two steps more in my opinion. It could have to do with high DPI on the screen itself (I think it has 400).

@mango I added to my TODO list the task to add screen saver blocker.
Regarding to text size for search bar and settings, - you can adjust them too. Please open Settings/Appearance and find there "UI scale" section. There you can set scaling for browser's interface itself.
If the scaling range is not enough, please let me know and I'll extend it. -
@mango currently you can use https://open-store.io/app/activescreen.mateo-salta to keep the screen awake. Works very well.

I have a quick question, is there a reason why you start your app with XWayland rather than Wayland?
Starting the app like this allows to start it in Wayland mode. It seems to work fine. Normally it should possibly allow to improve performances although I've not tested that. I also allows to have the correct icon of your app in the left taskbar.
Thank you!

export GDK_BACKEND=wayland export DISABLE_WAYLAND=0 export OZONE_PLATFORM=wayland export XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland export WAYLAND_DISPLAY=${WAYLAND_DISPLAY:-wayland-0} export GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 export DCONF_PROFILE=/nonexistent gpuoptions="--use-gl=egl --enable-gpu-rasterization --enable-zero-copy --ignore-gpu-blocklist --enable-features=UseSkiaRenderer,VaapiVideoDecoder,ThreadedAnimation --disable-frame-rate-limit --disable-gpu-vsync --enable-oop-rasterization --enable-threaded-compositing" sandboxoptions="--no-sandbox --disable-features=WaylandWindowDecorations " waylandoptions="--ozone-platform=wayland --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform" ./app/merezhyvo $gpuoptions $sandboxoptions $waylandoptions -
@pparent I've been experimenting for some time and, honestly saying I already don't remember which one, but there was some part of functionality which crashes with Wayland, and works well with XWayland.
