android 14 shipped with new FP5, do I need to move to 13?
-
@RJDan How long did you wait? Not sure why it's stuck there. In my case, it just always worked

@kugiigi
I tried several times and waited a few minutes each time.
There was nothing to wait for, it returned the prompt immediately. -
I gave up and just installed from android 14.
It worked well, only the fingerprint reader does not work. -
Ubuntu hung at boot after installing from Android 14, but I might have made a mistake by trying to install when the phone was switched on. I wasn't sure if it was that or if it must be 13. So, I downloaded Android 13 to recover and eventually installed both OpenMarketOS and Ubuntu.
OpenMarket seems to work ok but camera struggles to focus and battery is taxed. Still it, seems very capable.
Ubuntu wifi does not work unless the network is open, or no password. Thus, this post. I'll probably try re-install Ubuntu, as everything else seems sweet so far. If you happen to overcome a similar experience then please help!

@RJDan does wifi work?
-
@ubugogo
2.4 works but 5 does not hold. This is an issue I had with huawei too so I don't think it is UT or Fairphone.
I have been wandering the internet, playing music via jellyfin and listening to podcasts. Really seems good with my home wifi -
Anyone tried it with a FP5 that has been upgraded to Android 15 already?
-
@poVoq No, sorry. Only A14.
