        Re: OSM Scout Server: offline maps

        Hello, I am super happy to be able to use the osm-scout-server on my VollaX23. Thank you very much for your work! Unfortunately, I have a problem that is certainly easy to solve. In the settings you can specify the storage location for the map files. I would like to save the map files on my sd card (fat32). Unfortunately, this does not work, only the storage in the smartphone's internal memory. As I have subscribed a lot of maps (approx. 30 GB), another storage location would be very important for me. Can this be corrected? That would be great! Greetings from Berlin

          Hi @Charly

          You might want to read this issue and see if you find useful information:
          https://github.com/rinigus/osmscout-server/issues/313
          Also this is about the app on Sailfish OS, so your issue might be tied to Ubuntu Touch, in this case you can open another issue, but I would suggest reading carefully this one and maybe comment on it.

            @Charly As Rinigus mentioned in another thread:
            "At present, you have to use default location, close the server, move it to the location you want and make symbolic link from the default to the new location."
            I have done it and works flawlessly.

              @aimar

              Many thanks for this information.
              Is it not a problem that the internal memory has a linux type and the sd card fat32?

              I will try it out soon.
              Is it known whether the osm-scout server software will be developed further?
              thanks!

                Hello everyone, I tried the soft-link today and it seems to work even with fat32 as source. Thanks again!
