@UBportsNews
I upgraded my OnePlus 6T to OTA-6 and the install seemed to be going OK but after rebooting it doesn't get past the bootloader screen. Just frozen there. Not totally bricked, but basically now a non-working phone.I logged a bug report on the GitLab account as well, but as I'm not a dev I'm not familiar with the workflow over there and there's nothing more I can do myself to fix it, unless anyone out here has any smart ideas?

I guess the better would be to reinstall using UBports installer taking care to not erase user data.
-
@Keneda Thank you so much. I did that, and it worked. It took a bit of work to figure out how to get into Fastboot mode, but having done that, the UBports installer did its work wonderfully!
-
Many thanks, team! Installed as normal on Oneplus 5T.

Hello,
I would like to inform you that yesterday I have updated the device to OTA - 6 version. When I was testing it for receiving calls and SMS, I have noticed that vibration function has disappeared.
Therefore, I went back to Updates. Chosen RC version and installed it. Reverted back to Stable version and then vibration functioned well.
Does anyone faced this issued beside me??
Also my question is why updating the version will brake the vibration function ??

Are you saying you are now on Stable? So you should be back on OTA-6. Can you double check that?
If that is the case, a simple reboot might have solved your issue in the first place.
You do not mention if you tried rebooting before resorting to changing update channels. Probably some component had crashed when the vibration was not working, and a simple reboot would have fixed that. -
@ancientsounds
You're welcome -
@arubislander Yes, I did a reboot after upgrading to OTA-6, and did calling test to see if vibration is working properly, and it did not work as it should be.
So I went RC version, then revert back to Stable Version and it worked without reboot.
I did a reboot after finish installing Stable version and it came back to normal.
Just hope the vibration issue is not coming from the OTA-6 itself.
-
@Salah What device do you have?
-
@stanwood I have Google Pixel 3a XL..
-
@Salah No idea right now, as OTA-6 has not yet land in update settings (Redmi Note 9S). I'll check this when available.
In the meantime maybe other Pixel 3a XL users would answer (?)

Are you not on OTA-6 now?
-
I just right now did apply OTA-6 stable update on my Redmi Note 9S, and everything works like a charm, including vibrator. Maybe a device specific issue?
-
@arubislander Yes Am using OTA-6 version.
-
@stanwood Google Pixel 3a XL is working fine even the vibrator.
I presume it has to be with OTA-6 downloading to device.
I hope am the only one who is facing this issue.
Apart from that it works like a charm.
Only battery consumption for 3/4 G must be improved in the near future.
-
@Salah Then whatever issue you were facing was not due to OTA-6.
-
@arubislander Okay then will look and see if there are other issues might occur later on.
Thanks...
