Fairphone 5 - 24.04-1.0
-
Just a quick post for forum lurkers that updating to 24.04-1.0 stable on Fairphone 5 has gone smoothly for me.
To install use the ubports-installer select stable and leave the wipe data unchecked.
Then do reinstall all apps from the system settings menu.Issue with Libertine is resolved only thing I have seen an issue with is OSM server not starting for Pure Maps but I haven't tried debugging yet.
-
I installed fresh for first install and i am having issues with some apps not working, like uAdBlockNG and Libertine containers seem to be bugged, requiring adding „extrausers“ to the first 4 lines of /etc/nsswitch.conf for the phablet user to work properly.

@MrFrog222 Not sure that uAdBlock don't work for you. First i thought that with my Volla 22, but NO uAdBLock works : but i had to wait a long time so that the host.blocklists file be fully downloaded. You must check that this file is growing when starting the app.

@domubpkm I think judging by the fact that even after remounting / as rw i cant install packages due to space problems, it is that, but i dont know how to increase the size of my / partition because all guides assume that the system image is simply placed in /userdata/system.img, which it isn't for the FP5 as it has dedicated partitions. If someone can help, please do so.

Indeed, it's broken, there is a bug report for it.

You should not install packages nor make your system r/w.
It's not a UBports supported way of using Ubuntu Touch.
You should use click apps, libertine contener, or crackle way... Or use snapz0r.It's absolutely normal not being able to extend "/"... And doing so is definitely not supported.
