Any news on BraX3 device?

Does somebody has informations about the quality of the hardware and the porting process of UT?

I have met with them and they told me that the initial port is basically done.
But that's not currently a high quality port and it needs polish...
They stated that the phone will ship preinstalled with Ubuntu Touch once they feel it meets their quality standard.

We are discussing ways to improve the port and how to insure a good port quality for their customers.
I'm hopeful that what will come out of this will be beneficial for other manufacturers.

I'm really happy of how things are going.
And I will provide a feedback once I'll have the chance to have a hands-on device experience.

I cannot decide myself between a brax, a volla quintus and a fairphone 5. With all your knowledge and experience which one would you recommend at the moment? I obvioisly need assistance to spent loads of money...

@messayisto At this time Fairphone 5 port is more mature than Volla Phones Quintus port who itself is more mature than Brax3 port : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/

However, if you want multiboot, Quintus is to be preferred.
If you need VoLTE today, You'll need to check in details.

@messayisto I currently have UBtouch on my second B3.
right now volte does not work and neither does the camera.
But it recognized my mint mobile sim right away and sms,mms,data all work.
Overall out of the devices I have used with UBtouch it is great.

But sadly until volte works I will continue daily driving my furiphone flx1s
am considering trying UBtouch on it but it works great and I don't want to lose a linux daily driver.
