There is a working (with bugs) version of firefox for ubuntu touch, discus on firefox forum :
https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/reviving-firefox-for-ubuntu-touch-in-2025-new-perspectives/142861/3you can found the .click file on : https://gitlab.com/debclick/uFirefox/-/artifacts
Actually, it work on my Sony Xperia X (20.04 OTA-11).
It is not really smooth and some functionality does not entirely works, but it is a great job ! Thanks to the peoples who do that ! -

I think not many people know that there is an nlnet https://nlnet.nl/project/Firefox-linuxmobile/ and EU NGI https://ngi.eu/funded_solution/enhancing-firefox-for-linux-on-mobile/ funded project to improve firefox for mobile linux. There's not a lot of info on those websites but it looks like developers for postmarketOS are working on this https://postmarketos.org/blog/2024/11/04/pmOS-update-2024-10/.
Danny will be able to improve mobile-config-firefox and replace hacks we currently carry there to make the desktop version of Firefox work on mobile, with proper solutions in upstream Firefox. See Enhancing Firefox for Linux on Mobile for details. Milestones have been created and will be filled with related issues and merge requests.

Firefox work on postmarketOS (kde ui). Same on Mobian. it run relatively good, but it is not exacly the same version...
because it works on Mobian, is it possible to adapt a .deb application in .click ? -

Normally yes! But what do you mean by "it runs", because Firefox also runs on Ubuntu Touch doesn't it? The main problem is no running, but how well the UI is adapted to mobile screen.
If Mozilla published a version of Firefox for Linux but with an interface for small screens very similar to the one for Android it would be awesome, and we would be able to port it to Ubuntu Touch easily (especially after Mir2.x is released but even before).

I mean : it works better on Mobian. :
- On UT, it is not realy smooth. probably a problem with phone performance..?
- actually, the screen is not well adapted.
- I found problem in parameters : the drop-down menus won’t open with tactile.
- Other problem : the keyboard won’t open after i hide it once…
These problems made it unusable at daily and don't existe with the mobian version.

I agree with that !
And like the Mobian version i use is more in this direction (tabs bar on the bottom, better screen adaptation...), i am curious to compare it. -

Also in the mean time, for the keyboard problems I have done some work on the keyboard for Signal UT, and will do some further for Min browser. I have also found some improvements on how the Gtk/X11 applications run in general, and uFirefox could probably benefit a lot from it. I've had a call about that for uWolf with @chromiumos-guy .

It seems Droidian have their own modified version of Firefox with some UI adaptation:
