I don't see the Phone app in UT Tweak Tool anymore (I used to in focal) so I can't prevent its suspension and, as a result, Phone app gets suspended and thus sometimes when I want to make a call I have to wait for it to initialize... Is there a workaround or a solution? Or maybe I'm missing something?

Oneplus N10, noble stable ver. 2

          Hello

          ** disclaimer ** no expert here !
I'm not sure at all why the phone app were appearing before and not now, but it seems that the list looks the same as the list of installed applications in the Store, so maybe this list is a list of clicks and phone is not a click that can be uninstalled or upgraded independantly of the system ?

Take a look at this issue that seems to imply that to exempt an app, you need it to be actually an app, that is, have an appid to be able to use the gsettings tool.
If the phone app does not have an appid, it will not be possible to manage it using this tool. You can try to use gsettings directly from the command line using the dialer app id, that is 'lomiri-dialer-app' but I don't know if it will have an effect on the phone. As far as I can tell, there is no other appid in the system related to the phone system.

FWIW I don't see anything like you say with my phone, so maybe it's linked to the port ? So maybe try to take a look at the gitlab issue for your phone.

@mihael I don't understand why you'll need this but it's probably a bug in the tweak tool. Phone and Messaging seems to be gone from the list. Morph and system settings are still there despite being deb packages as well.
I'm sure you can manually add them to the gsettings for apps that don't suspend. I believe they were renamed to have lomiri- at the beginning of the app id.

@kugiigi I need this because sometimes when I need to make a call and I switch to the Phone app then the app is re-initializing and it takes 10-15 seconds to do that and meanwhile I can't access contacts or dial a number... It is just as when I reboot the phone and I start the Phone app for the first time. Usually, when I boot the phone, I start the Phone app and I keep it opened so that it would be available at any moment without the init dealy. But now it suspends itself so it doesn't help to keep it opened.

@mihael Report this issue to the device's port. That is not normal. Phone app should work almost instantaneously.

I don't remember the exact gsettings name. Perhaps you can look it up here in the forum. If you know how to read codes, you can check the repo of the tweak tool. If I am not mistaken, the value that should be added is lomiri-dialer-app. I assume it now suspends on Noble because it was dialer-app.
