@MrT10001 Thanks for the reply. I managed to flash the device back into Android and the WiFi is working. However, installing UT with UBports doesn't succeed... It's a pitty that it is so difficult.

            I have too many devices...

im thinking this should be a device porter solution we should make it so people dont need to downgrade whatever device ported should simply have the base android files needed for that device and ubuntu touch should just be flashed once ....eliminating this annoying step

actually there was an effort to do that at least for one port (not Xiaomi)

                https://github.com/ubports/installer-configs/pull/299

I know because I actually argued that it could be dangerous. Devs judged that my fears were unjustified, however the PR is still stalled because 3 approvals are needed and one of the code owners has something else to do it seems. So things are advancing at a snail pace on the installer front. Unsure if it will be committed one day, unsure if this solution will be extended to other ports (you'll notice that there were considerations of antirollback protections that could be a blocker for other ports).

@gpatel-fr after thinking about it i think i would side with the others .....im talking about the equivalent of including the bootloader in any linux or windows install ....currently you must bring your own bootloader .....very not typical also all source code is verifiable ...i do think your concerns are unjustified ....however they are valid concerns

There is a way to force the update.
