I've gone through the installation steps here.
During the process I seen the Ubuntu recovery screen, leaving the phone untouched, but once the process reboots the phone, it boots right back into Android.
Is there something I've missed? Is there any other way I can flash my phone?
Don't want dual-boot, don't need any of the phone's data.
      Thanks in advance.

@alexo85 that's the documentation for the "old" UT, here's the UBPorts installation documentation https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/install.html

Thanks for the reply. The documentation has nothing on Nexus 4, though.

@libremax Thanks for the reply. Forgot to mention that I've tried ubports-installer route as well. Same effect, booting to Android.

Whats steps of the video did you complete with ubports-installer before the reboot to android ?

All of them up to the step where Ubuntu loads with the dots... Right there, but Google.

I know you've been performing some kind of voodoo..
For the nth time this week, I've performed all of the steps that video covered (I could swear, just as before), but this time IT WORKED!!!
                    Thanks!
Will stick around the forums, maybe even try to pitch in some dev work somewhere around.

@alexo85 that's right, I didn't check your phone model, just saw that the link was wrong, sorry.

Anyway, I'm glad you finally managed to install UT 🙂
