While using the OpenStore app, I came across this message for several of my installed apps:
"The installed version of this app doesn't come from the OpenStore server. You can install the latest stable update by tapping the button below."

The screenshot above is just one example. I wonder why I am getting this message since I have installed all my apps through the OpenStore app.

Does anyone have an idea of the basis for this message?

I also had this messages for some apps, i think they were not properly updated from 15.04 to 16.04. (they were not migrated when i changed). Maybe the openstore gets confused with the different version numbers.

@htc_tattoo a good way to check (and fix) that is to go to System Settings > Update > Update Settings > Reinstall all apps

@htc_tattoo Thanks htc_tattoo. I hope there is nothing weirder than a bug.

@advocatux Thanks advocatux but reinstalling will only get rid of the warning message. It will not explain it.

@ubuntoutou that warning message means or that you have installed in your device a non-xenial app (i.e. a vivid one) or that you have installed an app non-published-yet in the OpenStore (the latter is a pretty common scenario when beta-testing apps straight from the developers repos).
