OTA-7 IS OUT
-
@tera Just trying to find out if we have any other reports of such. Will get back to you.
-
@tera If you haven't restored them already, do they reappear after a few reboots ?
-
@lakotaubp I did reboot once before noticing it and restoring a backup

4 days, and my FP2 is still waiting for OTA-7... In Twitter, a lot of advertisements, but none "I received it" tweet. 1 day left...

Well, finally OTA-7 arrived (almost on the edge of the 5 days...). Really good update. Awesome suru dark keyboard theme. And very good improvements on Morph Browser. Everything seems to work pretty well now. Let's run to OTA-8!

Hello,
Again, thank you so much for this great job.
I have a little question. I turned my phone (BQ E5 HD) into the candidate channel, but as a daily user, I would like to turn it to the stable channel. I did it but each time, after a few time, the phone comes back to the candidate channel. Today, I tried again and saw the version 5 update for the stable version. Is it the OTA 7? I currently have the 2018-W01 version. Is it the same but a previous name?
thanks for your help. -
@teigneux You need to update then have a read of the blog for more info https://ubports.com/blog/1/post/192

I have only just noticed that my Vollaphone has not yet been able to install OTA-7. In fact, I only checked because I have read that OTA-8 is available and that upgrade includes much-needed VoiLTE support for Vollaphones. The problem that I am having with -7 is that 'Updates' says that it has been downloaded, and I am invited to 'Install Now', which I do. The phone reboots but the status of the -7 upgrade remains unchanged. A circle that I seem to be stuck in! When I look at the 'About' data, it confirms that the phone is running on OTA-6, which was installed on 13/11/2024.
Can you offer any advice / help, please?

@The_Cougar_Kid Hi! First off, please note that this thread is from 2019. It is in fact referring to OTA-7 for 16.04, not 20.04.
I think I can remember having a similar issue in the past. It may be able to be fixed by switching your channel from Stable to Release Candidate and then back? Or another idea might be to flash the OS again - run the installer, making absolutely certain that the "Wipe user data" button is not checked.
Others may have better advice than me though. I lack technical expertise. -
I think you can fix your issue with the comment from Wally.
Also this post is very old and not intended to help people with issues.
So I'll lock this thread ; feel free to open a new one and refer to your initial question if Wally's answer didn't work. -
