Is there a way to prevent an entry from appearing in the App Spread (right screen swipe)?

Specifically I find it annoying that the Scopes are in the spread when there is a dedicated path to them from the left edge swipe function under the dock. Is there a way to accomplish this easily? Or is this a dive into code thing?

Don't worry, the scopes will be gone soon 😉

The dash (scopes) is there, and you can't close it, by design. However, as Kugi stated, scopes will be removed soon, as newer designs of unity8 were to replace the apps scope with a new app drawer.

            Fair enough.

Will this new app drawer appear in the app spread? I've no problem with the scopes thing per-se but it seems highly redundant that it needs to appear with the open apps in the app spread.

No. It will only open from the big logo button on the launcher, or by long swipe from left edge (or pressing Super+A on physical keyboard).

Scopes appears in the app spread by design, as it is a special app which cannot be closed. That was the former design. It's being replaced by the app drawer for launching apps, and there will be no more scopes in the default install.

Sounds like you folk are ahead of me already ☺

And that addresses my primary complaint with an otherwise very slick interface.

That looks awesome, perhaps I should give the edge channel a try.

@Giiba that's an "old" version, the new one is even better 🙂

The linked demo looks cool. Just one request to whoever is going to prepare similar videos: Please, do not open a CLI in a UX demo! (Or more generally, when targetting non-developer audience.).
