@Opolork Also try to install that camera update from system settings, updates. If you can it's openstore related. If you cant probably need to look elsewhere.

        The camera update fails.

How can you trust that an app really won't send some company your location data, when you tell it not to? The only way you can trust a program not to do something it isn't supposed to do is if it is free software. ~ RMS

@Opolork yes, that's the latest. So it seems the issue is between System Settings and OpenStore. You can try to clean System Settings cache, using UT Tweak tool for example, and see if that's enough to disentangle the current situation.

            I don't have UTT. 😢

Would there be any terminal commands to try? 💭

@Opolork you can install it manually. Download that app (https://open-store.io/app/ut-tweak-tool.sverzegnassi), then open Terminal and run pkcon install-local --allow-untrusted /path/to/the.click

Of course, change /path/to/the.click for the real path in your case 😉

Edit: you can go to the directory you've downloaded that click and then you won't need to specify a path, of course. Then it'll be just pkcon install-local --allow-untrusted package_name.click 🙂

How about rerunning the installer without wipe. That should clear stuff shouldn't it.

Occam's razor wins out. Sometimes the simplest solution works. I just did a reboot and am now using TELEports. 😺

Edit: Or is that the 'law of parsimony' perhaps?

Jotit also installed fine. The camera update is still a no go.

I see no place to clean System Settings Cache in UTT.

Would that retain all of personal data?

How would that differ to System Settings > Reset device (Erase & Reset All) - besides the erase data part?

@Opolork will keep personal stuff. At least you would know you had a correct install of UT. Other than that clear device cache. Must go for today though back tomorrow.

@Opolork there are several people complaining in the Spanish group now, so I've asked in the OpenStore group too.

Btw it seems people running stable shouldn't be able to update to the new Camera app version. That's a target for the next OTA. Why that update is showing is what I'm trying to learn now

Ah, that rings a bell. I just recalled I read somewhere that the camera update will be in the next OTA - so it's currently in unstable (or whatever the name of the UT equivalent is)?
