        Hi.

Will too many open apps slow down UT even if they are no longer being actively used?

        Thanks.

How can you trust that an app really won't send some company your location data, when you tell it not to? The only way you can trust a program not to do something it isn't supposed to do is if it is free software. ~ RMS

🙂 This is one of the best design features of the OS, @Opolork - apps open in the background don't use any resources: They shouldn't drain your battery or slow your device down.

Hi 3arn0wl. Thanks for clearing that up. :thumbs_up_light_skin_tone: 🙂

Well they do use memory/RAM but by default, they are suspended when in the background which is why standby battery life of UT is great. You can change this behavior per app in UTTT though. Also, apps in the background might be killed at any point when the system runs out of of memory and needs to allocate more on the current app or process.

Not quite true. They do still take up space in RAM, even if they aren't actively using CPU, and that can slow the device down. 🙂
