        Hello,

I want to post a problem which is similar described in some other posts with different circumstances, but I haven't found an answer there, so I open a new post.

A similar problem can be found in this post:
        https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2924/solved-can-not-install-ubports-on-krillin-again

I also wanted to reinstall UBports via the UBPorts Installer.
The installer said "Done It is nor safe to unplug the device".
But the phone won't boot, it shows the BQ-logo, nothing else.

So I tried to solve the problem according to the link above by flashing an old image with SP_Flashtool.
Unfortunately I can't find the correct image for the BQ Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition.
The link of the troubleshooting site contains the Android version.
        https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/install.html#troubleshooting
        https://storage.googleapis.com/otas/2014/Smartphones/Aquaris_E5_HD/Ubuntu/VEGETA01A-S11A_BQ_L100EN_2017_170207.zip

This site contains a dead link:
        https://www.mibqyyo.com/topic/82828/firmware-ubuntu-15-04-ota-14-para-aquaris-e5-ubuntu-edition
        https://www.mibqyyo.com/descargas/categorias/aquaris-e5-ubuntu-edition/

Where can I find the correct file?

        Thanks in advance!

@mk hi, are you sure that https://storage.googleapis.com/otas/2014/Smartphones/Aquaris_E5_HD/Ubuntu/VEGETA01A-S11A_BQ_L100EN_2017_170207.zip is a wrong image?

Edit: I've checked BQ old download page [*] and I can confirm that's the right image. You can see it by yourself taking a look to the source code of that page.

@advocatux Thank's for your answer. I didn't try the image because the file inside is named "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt". I had doubts about the "Android". I think the BQ E5 Ubuntu Edition and the E5 Android version has different hardware.
Does the platform MT6582 indicates Ubuntu Edition or Android?

What could happen if I use the file? Can it cause an "irreparable" situation?

Sorry for my doubts, I just want to avoid a damage.

By the way: I can't use the recovery mode. It freezes in the BQ-logo.

@mk that scatter file is ok. Just be extra-careful when using SPFlash tool, and triple check every step 😉

@mk you need to follow the instructions at http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/install.html#install-on-legacy-android-devices

@advocatux Thanks again for your support.
Not at the first run, but after some trials I finally got my Aquaris E5 back again!

                  I'm so happy! 👏

For me the issue is fixed and can be closed.
