Meizu PRO5 flyme account
I finally got a pre-owned Meizu PRO5 in a second hand shop. Chinese FW 5.1.3, fastboot locked, unrooted. Before proceeding with UT install (very good post available on the forum, btw), I first need to enable root, and registering the phone with a flyme account is required.
As the phone is still linked to the previous owner Flyme account, I contacted Meizu Support to request for a log out. But the problem is Meizu Support asked for the IMEI and SN that states on the surface of the original phone box ... Dang...! I don't have the original box.
Anyone could help, please ?

You can find the IMEI code by dialing :
Regarding the serial number, I suggest to search the web but this information is probably engraved somewhere on the phone itself...
[Edit] Just found this video, hope it will work : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbLrWUIRYsU
Thank for fast reply.
I already got IMEI and SN (from Android settings) and provided to the meizu support... but they requests a picture of the original box ... I thing IMEI and SN should be sticked on the box... and and don't have it.
I'm stuck here...
Does any PRO5 owner on this forum have such original box ?
there is a way round it , but
i remember seeing it discussed on the chinese forums
you should be able to register on flyme forums and ........
i find chromium with translate running best.
you could look in my history , re changing to cn and back etc.
is it 32g or 64g , look a the logo on the back is it l tde ,or what.
do not update the CN version, there is a way to download 3 different version of en you need the "factory" version which is 5.0 or so . from here unlocked bootloader etc.
thanks for reply.
it's a 64gb, cn rom with l tde hardware... sounds bad.
Not sure I can move forward with root not enabled, can I?
unfortunately i cleaned out my drive with pro 5 stuff on, after i sold it, ( unbuntu 32g edition), you can look here,
or goto flyme, look here, its where your missing passwords would let you in also, there is a forget your password option
or look at "Stefano " and go way back thru his posts as he is good on the pro 5
unlocked bootloader here,3rd post down.
@nauvpp how is it linked to previous owner, when as you said, is locked and unrooted?
You should be able to log in with your Flyme account.
@nauvpp try lo log in with this credentials:
Flyme account name: trafarb
Thanks for your reply.
Volume down + power on shows :
=> Fastboot mode (locked, unrooted)
hardware is TD-LTE, 64GB with cn rom 5.1.3 (I can up/downgrade but only with chinese FW). With other (intl FW), I get a "Firmware corrupt" same as decribed in other posts.
I've found windows tools here http://xep.8800.org/pro5/ and currently trying to flash but to no avail since command "fastboot devices" show nothing (on linux it gives the serial#)
Thanks again for help.
@nauvpp you need to gain root first, try the login details I send you. Without root, you can't change ID from Chinese to International/Global and won't be able to flash UT on it.
each tries to log in flyme.cn have same result, it complains "You have not logged out as <some account name at flyme.cn>. To log with another flyme account, please log out properly first."
It seems the previous owner has registered the device with his account in flyme.
Kind of similar to AppleID.
That why I contacted meizu support, But to deregister, they said they need a picture of the original box with IMEI and SN sticker on it.... lol... which I don't have because the device is second hand.
@nauvpp I've seen a service online for removing Flyme account from Meizu phones, try that. I've got a box from 32 gb Chinese version, but since the IMEI won't match to yours, it's pointless. Unless you got photo editing skills that might help.
Thanks for the url ! but same here :
- Send the photo of the sticker on the box or back cover
I have the IMEI and SN, I could try the "photo editing" ... Would you agree to share a picture of your box, provided that you mask our IMEI and SN ? (feel free to send here)
I think my last chance to get UT on this device...since I can't find the previous owner.
@nauvpp yes ,no problem, that's innactive device anyway, I used the parts from that phone. I'll send you the pictures. Do you want a high quality or average photo?
@nauvpp I think they meant back of the phone...
@nauvpp photos sent, let me know if the quality is ok. Btw, you can edit the photos with Libreoffice draw, if you convert them to .pdf files, I think. I've done similar thing and it worked rather well, I mean the Libreoffice Draw.
Many many thanks! I think that might work. I'll try and keep you posted
