      Pretty much the title...

      I installed some signal clone app, but it just works with phones...

      Is there an app like this, but for tablets with WiFi only?

      thanks in advance!

        I guess the problem is that you can't register because you can't receive an SMS?

        Usually these apps provide a way to link to an existing account, no?

        Otherwise XMPP works without phone number linked accounts, but right now the options for clients are a bit limited. You can try the Movim app as that is probably the easiest to use.

        Fairphone 5 (waiting for port)

          Matrix is available too, with clients such as FluffyChat.

            Ah!

            Looks like Fluffy Chat could work! (A Phone number is optional)

            Thank you !

              @Elowan
              🙂 No worries. And FWIW, both Matrix and FluffyChat are excellent.

                  Moving to support as not directly about development of an app
