[Solved] Xperia X: Constantly reboots in recovery, unable to flash
-
Hi,
I managed to start the installation on the Xperia X using the official installer. I got so far that the recovery is started. However, the recovery reboots constantly after aprox 20-30 seconds, thus the flashing commands (obviously) fail.
Is this a known issue? If yes, is there a way to install Ubports using only fastboot on this device?

@kuleszdl All the info you need is here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3229/sony-xperia-x-suzu-f5121/46

=> Sony Xperia X (suzu/F5121) #43 solved this issue for me.

Wow, that was quick - many thanks to you @Lakotaubp and @makeixo! Indeed, wiping the caches using twrp as suggested in the linked topic helped: The recovery did not reboot anymore and I was able to complete the installation of UBports.
Unfortunately, I got a black screen afterwards. So I did the following:
- removed card tray (was empty anyways, but who knows)
- downloaded and flashed the (older) SW binaries for Android 7.1 as my device had the newer ones for Android 8 before
- switched to the "edge" channel
Not sure which of these did the trick, but now UBports boots up just fine.
