    Nexus 7 Keeps Waking Itself Up

      I have a Nexus 7 2013 Flo (WiFi), running the Dev version (2019-12-22). Every five minutes or so, the screen pops on, showing the login screen. It then goes dark again. Obviously something is waking it up. How do I figure out what that is?

        @mojosam It might be worth running it through the installer again without wipe first. That way you know the dev install is ok. I don't get this on my 7.

          @mojosam This happens on my Nexus 7 wifi as well.Been happening since installing UT on it in February of this year. Currently on Stable channel OTA-11

          I've just noticed I haven't added a comment to the open bug, so will go and do that in a minute.

          The behaviour is a bit of a pain but the workaround is to toggle Airplane mode when you want to put it in
          standby

          I opened up the case a few weeks ago and cleaned out the contacts of the switch with alcohol. Didn't make any difference and now I've got a slightly cracked case so I won't be doing that again!

            @Lakotaubp I thought this was happening to yours back in Feb? You updated your device and it started happening to yours too, no?

              @ziggutas I think this is an issue on Nexus 7 since the beginning. At least, I can't remember when it started so I assume it's been there 🙂

                @kugiigi Ok. Well I might try running it with the installer again sometime , when I'm feeling brave enough😬

                  @ziggutas Just done that ignore the adb error message if you get it and if yours like mine is wifi you will need to pick ut yourself. Installer keeps picking LTE.
                  Now for the waking up bit. Mine has stopped the wake up thing. It might be down to it being on the original edge channel not sure. Moved back to dev with the edge merge. Now I had forgotten the wake up thing as mine doesn't as I said. Had it up and running now for half an hour on power and still no odd wake ups. Its currently on 2019-12-23.

                  Edit: When not on mains power I still get the occasional wake up. When on mains nothing. Might be worth someone else trying.
