another log -
I now get the blue battery low message after the key combination,
but I have charged the phone all night. -
i have found this:
-
@mmvanheusden I had that with one of my OPO common problem so it seems. Do you get the battery charging indication light? I don't. I have a new battery on the way so will let you know if it's that or something else when I can.
For now mine will reboot when connected a power source so try that. Connect give it a few mins and try to get to fastboot. It will take a few attempts.
By the way I left my OPO on "charge" for 24 hrs with no change battery charge indication will say 50% but is not https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3615/oneplus-one-battery-at-50-issue/15 -
-
I think the battery is fine because when Android was still on,
it worked great -
@mmvanheusden I'm not saying it is the battery but that is the cheapest and easiest thing to start with. If you look around on OPO forums most suggest sending the device back, sometimes the battery did the trick other times not and they point to an error in the charging circuit. Are you sure yours is charging at all the animation is no guarantee you need the light on top left of the screen.. Run the command mentioned above by @wdehoog and check the results. If they are like the first of mine in the same thread you will get nowhere until that is fixed. That phone went Without any warnings at all.
-
i cant run commands on the phone
-
@mmvanheusden yes sorry forgot that bit. But do you get the charging light. If so it is probably just a battery thats gone.
-
no, charging light doesnt light up but it does start up if i connect it to charger/laptop
-
@mmvanheusden Same as mine. Still waiting for the battery to arrive, so will let you know. Unless you find something on the opo forums in the mean time.
-
@mmvanheusden Battery has arrived and appears to have fixed the problem for me. Will keep an eye for a day or so.
-
so i understand it might help by replacing the battery with a new one?
-
@mmvanheusden Yes mine is running fine no issues all back to normal.
-
my second phone is also an oneplus one but I dare not change the battery, suppose something goes wrong
-
@mmvanheusden I have two also. One has never had a problem so I'm not touching that. Changing the battery on the other was quite straight forward. Back cover off, nine screws, three pop out screw cover things and one more cover. Plenty of videos available online. If you don't have the tools order a battery that comes with them. Just take your time. This was only the second battery I've changed so it's not difficult.
-
So any solution right now? Got in to the same trouble. Battery is fine.
