Calendar Synchro with gmail
-
Hi !
First, I wish you all a very happy new year!
I could not anymore synchronize my calendar app with gmail, I tried to create an event on the calendar but I have some error notified, I tried to re-signin to my gmail account but I get an error from ubuntu.com app.
Am I the only one or is it due to an expiration (certificate or ubuntu.com app) ?

Please have a look here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1202

@thilov Thanks, so it seems to be known and in progress since the 21th Dec 2019

@AlainW94 I deleted my Google account restarted and added it again and it worked ok. That was on a OPO on dev. You could try swooping to stable to add the account if deleting does not wirk(unless your on stable already )
-
@Lakotaubp I just tried to delete my account, reboot and It still impossible to add the same account, same error message. Unfortunatly I'm on the stable channel yet.
-
@AlainW94 With mine I use another device to sign into google, sort of two factor authentication. Try setting that up in your Google account settings. Guessing you already have allow less secure apps enabled there.
-
@Lakotaubp Ok just tried it, activating the 2 factors security and try again but still the same result...
I already had activated the less security option for my emails.

I had the same issue. I could not log in to my Google account on the device.
Then I noticed the language (lower left) was set to Dutch. When I changed that to English I could then log in without any issues. -
@arubislander Hi! sorry to reply very late, I tried your solution, did choose English US language but same error again !

Had to sign back in to Google accounts today after battery issues on OPO on latest dev. All worked. Two have other device sign in which worked straight away. The other is normal sign in. That failed first attempt tried again straight away and all fine so not sure what is going on. Are you using a vpn at all? running out of ideas.
-
@Lakotaubp that's really strange! it said that the app is not yet validated by Google then the login is disabled.

If you're receiving this error, please try the troubleshooting and logging steps mentioned by mardy here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1202#issuecomment-572565001

@UniSuperBox Ok thanks ! I will try this. If I understand right from the previous Q&A (66), it's an issue due to an outdated key/certificate and the reneweal isn't working, they solved it for OTA-12.
-
We're only particularly interested in the results you're getting if you're on
devel
, if you're onstable
then the problem is indeed the outdated credentials. -
@UniSuperBox I'm on the stable channel, sorry ...
-
Ah, I see... The issue should be fixed with OTA-12. Thanks!
