      1 mediaut + Teufel.jpg

I made some pictures using my (old) BQ E5 as a media phone in combination with the Teufel bluetooth speaker

      General functions

      • VOIP-phone, Emails, RSS feeds, web radio, podcasts, mp3, web-browser, videos
      • Bluetooth and WLAN connectivity - plays your web music on every bluetooth speaker
      • Controls your Kodimote - so you can start videos on your TV screen
      • At least 12 hours music playing without charging (haven't measured;)
      • Ubuntu Touch App Store (https://open-store.io/) and updates (https://ubuntu-touch.io)

      4 mediaut main apps2.jpg

      • Magnetic holder to stick the BQ at the speaker

      5 mediaut is magentic2.jpg

      • list of recommended ut-apps

If it's ok for everybody - I would write now a short message with a link to this page to Teufel and AVM ... - maybe there is somebody who is interested to develop an app. Ubuntu Touch is for everybody free of use - always developers for Ubuntu Touch apps welcome

          Possible next steps

          • control UPnP media servers like on Fritz Box (https://en.avm.de/news/the-latest-news-from-fritz/2019/new-fritz-clip-the-fritzbox-as-a-media-server/) to play songs and videos from your local harddisk or to connect a stationary antenna to play local DAB radio channels

          • maintainer for 'music-app' needed (https://gitlab.com/ubports/apps/music-app/issues/1)

          • start a video from the morph browser via Kodi on a tv-screen

          Issues

          • if I have choosen 'none' in system settings 'security after lock' it would be helpful if there is NO starter screen (with time/date) and I don't have to swipe

          • if I can choose '5 seconds' in the same section under 'activate hybernation if not used' -> I would never have to turn off the screen again

          • turn off the notification if you turn up the volume over ~80%

          • switch off SIM-functionality - deinstall unneeded phone apps

@mic_ looks cool, if you find uvolman in the store, it can disable the warning for high volume 🙂 Also active screen app can keep the screen on
