For my own intrest how long does your nexus5 last on a full charge. I'm new to the nexus and have a bq 5have that goes 2-3 days between charges. The nexus does about 24 hrs is that about right. The nexus is second hand so not sure on battery status.
        Thanks

Mine also lasts about 24 hours, if not heavy use, otherwise less. It has been reported that disabling screen rotation improves battery life, but I haven't been able to test that yet (I only had the device for 3 or 4 days so I wanted to have a benchmark first).

I little offtopic, sorry about that, but I have few Nexus 5 related questions.

              • is mobile hotspot working good? This is important feature to me.
              • how about camera, pictures/videos/flash? Also very important.

              Thanks! Best regards! πŸ˜ƒ

@HendriXXX 1) Wifi hostspot is working, AFAIK
                2) Camera is working but no for videos, just for photos. Videos cannot be reproduced (codecs missing), they can be reproduced within the web browser but not from the operating system.

@wgarcia Ok, thanks for the reply. I think I can live without video recording. πŸ™‚

24 hour is normal. its better if you shutdown all mobile settings and start the mobile settings only if needed. ( very silent phone than...)

My Nexus 5 battery lasts all day. I charge it overnight. Not a heavy user but always plenty of battery left at bedtime.

Thanks all that fits with what I'm getting, so the phone is fine. Also UT looks and feels to work better on the nexus than my bq5. A bit subjective I know but enjoying using itit again now. Much better than the mx4. A big thanks one and all for the work so far.
