      OS: 16.04 (2020-W19)
      Device: Oneplus One (bacon)

Really simple question here. How does one go about installing FDroid on Ubuntu Touch? Do you install on an Android device, pull it over to UT, and install it in anbox or is there another way?

      Thanks in advance!

        Hi!

No need to install it on android - just get the apk from the fdroid site, put it on the UT device and install via adb. (See Anbox documentation http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/dailyuse/anbox.html)

@aclifton314 technically you can install it through Anbox but realitiscally it's too slow and buggy to be worth while

@aclifton314 you can also install YalpStore there is a version of whyorean that still works anloy with no google account, and you need to select a Fairphone 2 as device, but overall it works and i can update my apps.
              Here is the link: https://github.com/whyorean/YalpStore/releases

@Xray2000 Hi. So you download the apk file and install directly onto the FP2 with UT? ❓

How can you trust that an app really won't send some company your location data, when you tell it not to? The only way you can trust a program not to do something it isn't supposed to do is if it is free software. ~ RMS
