+1 for this
after using Redshift for so long on my phone not having it is really harsh on my eyes when I switched to Ubuntu Touch
I do wish there was a way to choose between the old scope layout and this new lack of home screen
Thanks so much for the release
installed and everything seems to work fine, great update ^ ^
@ezze +1 for this, I have the exact same problem on my Nexus 5 and it's really annoying
Depends what you want out of the phone and if you're willing to wait, Ubuntu Touch on the Nexus 5x is very early days whereas on the Nexus 5 it's quite mature, as well as that Ubuntu Touch on the Nexus 5 is plenty fast enough for everything you could want to do and the camera is actually alright, plus the Nexus 5 can be had for bargin prices
@jjconstr Possibly but a lot of people still don't care, for example a while ago I sold an old iMac saying clearly that it wouldn't do modern things but the buyer still complained
@jjconstr Since it's GNU software it'd be totally okay to resell devices with it on, in fact I've seen them go for as much as £170 (and that's a completed listing), the only thing I'd be worried about is people who don't know what they're buying purchasing one without knowing what they're getting into
Been using this on my Xioami Mi A2 since it's release and it's been working pretty well, the only issue I've had is sometimes texts won't come through and need a reboot, but that might be device specific and I just got another update through so I'll see if it fixes that
If I had a built in adblocker and syncing with Firefox Morph would be perfect, but honestly I like it a lot as is
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't there been upstream changes to Podbird that aren't yet in the binary build on OpenStore? Maybe someone should build upstream and push it to upstream?
@aclifton314 technically you can install it through Anbox but realitiscally it's too slow and buggy to be worth while
Thanks so much for the release
installed and everything seems to work fine, great update ^ ^
hi does anyone know if there's a way to scrobble to Last FM on Ubuntu Touch? its one of the only things the OS doesn't do for me, if not posting this for interest in having it added
It isn't currently possible no, it may one day be possible to install Parsec in an Anbox but currently that isn't the case
Most of my "best UT apps" have already been mentioned but here's a few that I really like that haven't been mentioned:
rss: https://open-store.io/app/rssreader.florisluiten
Needed to play videos on some devices: https://open-store.io/app/utmedia.nfsprodriver
Really cute game: https://open-store.io/app/snowball-world.popey
I have some photos that would work perfectly on a portrait screen, is there anywhere I can submit them or any git page I can push them to?
@hammerhead said in Sell used phones with UT installed.:
I think the Meizu phones would absolutley sell the best to the average consumer since they're so pretty, but tbh I'd rather a Nexus 5 or something since Meizus can be a bit finicky
