Forum Spam Error [Solved]

I kept getting a 'spam error' from Akismet which prevented the placing of a link in a new post. For now I have just posted without the link. Can this be fixed please?

As I explained in the thread you created, it's probably because of your status on the forum.
Reputation, number of post or other parameters are used to grant a new user access to the full features of the forum. -
@AppLee Thanks for the info, I had a feeling it might be something like that! Not to worry, I've been contacted by another moderator who may insert the link.
Actually, I'm not new here. I signed in about two years ago but because I left for a short while my history counts for nothing I found out. So I'm starting over...
