Hello, I am having trouble with the Ubuntu Touch music player. I put my music in ~/Music, and the music is layed out like "~/Music/Artist - Album Name/# - Song Name.mp3" and all of the songs are properly tagged including embedded artwork.

Well, for whatever reason, the music player displays:

      "No music found

Connect your device to any computer and simply drag files to the music folder, or insert removable media with music."

How can I get the music player to detect my music.

I am using the PinePhone BraveHeart.

Try deleting the cach of the music app. You can use the UT Tweak Tool for that.

I tried clearing the cache with UT Tweak to no avail. My music is on an SD card though and far as I'm aware there is an ongoing issue with the PinePhone not doing something correctly with the SD cards. Not sure what exactly it is, haven't tried digging into the terminal or SSHing into my phone to investigate further.

              This didn't work

This gave me 4 "Failed to add storage device" notifications.

@PizzaLovingNerd Thats strange it usually gives me 2 failed notifications and 1 successful mounted sdcard notification.

It might be a issue with BH itself, if not a sim issue.

@PhoenixLandPirat This worked for me on UBports CE with the same output, 2 fails and one successful.

My phone with all software upgraded to the latest versions always showed the twice error message "Failed to add storage device".
Now I have formatted the remaining part of the sd card to ext 4 and as a result I get the message 4 times :-(.

I just wonder if only a few are annoyed by this problem or if everybody just deletes these messages after each start?

I had the issue of the sd card not mounting at all on my Poco F1. This has helped me. You can try it out. https://askubuntu.com/questions/95391/how-do-i-mount-an-sd-card
