Very slow internet speed - Infected phone?

My UT phone has become very slow when using the Morph browser. I am now getting only 4 Mbps of download speed. I used to have more than 100 Mbps.
- Is my phone infected with malware, virus, trojan, etc...?
- if so, how can I check and identify this malware? Is it possible to run something similar to rootkit hunter?
- Do I have to reinstall the whole system or would it be possible to try reinstalling the Morph browser only?
- How to delete and reinstall the Morph browser? UT tweak tool only allows to clear cache, data and config. The application size is given as 0 bytes. Is Morph part of the system instead of an app separate from the system?

Morph is part of the system core apps so you can't uninstall it, well you can some way, but you shouldn't.
That said, infection doesn't come from itself, did you visite any weird website?

@ubuntoutou what device do you use and what channel?
I'm using a Nexus 5 and its on the edge channel.
Try these steps before reinstalling the phone.
Reboot.
Look for updates.
Switch channels.
If you would reinstall the phone, DON'T check the wipe box, you will keep your settings, history and apps intact if you keep it unchecked. -
Rather than assuming something bad happened to your device, you should instead start of by stating how you are connecting it to the network, how you are measuring the bandwidth exactly, and if it's via WiFi or such if any other devices on the network exhibit similar "slow" downloads.
Also when did you get the 100 Mbps speeds? It seems there have been some increase in DDoS attacks and such over the past several days, which may be eating up bandwidth and cause some sites to be slower than otherwise normally would be.

@ubuntoutou I'm still fairly new to UT but I have a couple of suggestions. First of all, I suggest restarting the phone before any testing; I've noticed a few oddities when traveling out of wifi range and on to cell data. You might also want to connect to wifi if you haven't already and see if the speed improves (using a site such as speedtest.net). Secondly, you might want to try installing the onion browser as a comparison (in the event the issue has to do with Morph rather than your connection).
If you're still seeing slow speeds, as a test you might want to download and install an alternate OS such as mobian (or even another Ubuntu Touch image) onto an SD card (which you can boot pretty easily -- the SD card slot is on top of the SIM card slot -- it is a simple slide in/slide out slot, not a push-in and click type slot). Instructions are pretty simple for creating an OS image - see https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/PinePhone_Software_Releases#Factory_Test_OS for a list of images. So far I've tried Mobian, Pure OS (very similar to Mobian), and KDE Neon. Of the three, Mobian seemed to work the best (minus screen rotation), and the daily build of KDE Neon produced a number of errors. None seemed as fluid and natural as UT, but for purposes of testing internet, temporarily booting to SD card will at least give you a bit more of an idea where the speed problem may be originating.

@Rondarius You are spot on Rondarius. I have rebooted and my internet speed is back to normal. I am using a Meizu PRO 5 with 4GB of RAM and up to date OTA 12 on stable channel.
@dobey Thanks dobey. I was wrong assuming something was wrong with the device.
@pault Hi pault. As you can read, I don't have a pinephone although I would love to have a device running on main line Linux kernel. At least I have a fast running phone with plenty of RAM.
