Screen Time equivalent? (ability to lock screen after given time)
-
Hello,
Is there an Ubuntu Touch equivalent to iOS's screen time, that is: a way to block the phone after a given hour (downtime) or after a given amount of screen time?
Something like a parental restriction module?
Thanks, Renaud -
@renaudr
IDK, but you can check out this thread:

@renaudr Never heard of this option, but I don't think that should be much of a problem to implement. If the Clock App can wake up the screen through alarm, why wouldn't be possible to turn the screen off with the timer or chronological time function, but I'm not a developer so I don't know what it takes to make it happen.

It will require a background job monitoring screen activity.
Such background job is not supported for confined apps.Then it will need integration with the lockscreen in order to prevent unwanted usage.
And in order to make it really suitable as a parental control it requires multiple users accounts to differenciate children from their parents.
