Music app, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack controls?
-
I noticed that with the UT music app I can't use neither the Bluetooth nor 3.5mm headphone jack controls to skip songs or pause playback.
Both is working with Android on the same phone (OnePlus3).
Is that a feature that isn't implemented, or might that be a bug?

For 3.5mm jack controls, I think it is not implemented (there are no keypress events coming from the kernel, which leads me to believe there is something missing still). For bluetooth, I think the main issue is that multimedia control keys handling is not yet implemented. There is a WIP PR for it, so perhaps we can get it in soon. I haven't had time myself to give it a proper review yet.

Ok, cool. Bluetooth is IMHO more important as it allows hands free use in a car. I hope it gets added to the todo for OTA-15.

As stated by Dobey in another thread, bluetooth improvement requires updating to 20.04 to be able to use the latest version for bluez and pulseaudio IIRC. -

I'm not sure that we need 20.04 to run the latest bluez version. I'm running the bluez 5.53 version on ubuntu touch in order use my speaker (any other lower version failed on the pairing).
the 5.53 version is available there : https://ci.ubports.com/job/ubports/job/bluez-packaging/job/xenial_-_even-newer-bluez/So far I didn't see any drawback.

I know very little about bluetooth, just sharing what I read somewhere else...I was refering to this message from dobey:

Yes, there are patches for pulseaudio to work on Android HAL (hybris) and to provide the trust prompt for microphone, which are undoubtedly broken by newer pulseuadio versions which have better bluetooth support.
