@stanwood where to get that snapshot?
-
@stanwood All isn't working currently but you have the chance to have a (working ?) notification LED on the Redmi. Isn't it ?
-
@markatrafik You mean "UBports Installer snap"? It's in Ubuntu software Center, and you'll find on the web the Windows + Mac versions.
-
@domubpkm You mean the notification envelope icon? Yes I do have it and it works well (maybe hided by the notch).
If you want to talk about things that work / partial / not work on Redmi Note 7, I guess you'd rather open a new thread in devices => Xiaomi => Redmi Note 7 forum section
-
@domubpkm I confirm that there are problems with the installation on the Redmi Note 7. Let's create a thread in the corresponding conference, and if the developers help us - let's debug it from/under Linux...

You mean the notification envelope icon?
Not at all ! LED Light Emitting Diode.
as this screenshot of a BQ. -
@domubpkm Ok, so the back light (torch + camera flash) works well indeed.
-
@stanwood Do you speak of Notification LED ?
Seen on Amazon (french).
Translated R Answer : 'It's the tiny indicator light next to the USB C connector. Low intensity, but works..'
-
@domubpkm Thank you for this clarification.
I didn't know about this indicator light.
I don't seem to have seen this light on my Nexus 5 either.
But maybe I'm wrong.... -
@stanwood
On Nexus 5, the indicator light is located just above the USB port.
It should work and turn white when charging with screen off, green when screen off and fully charged and slowly blinking green when there is a notification. -
@applee I confirm
-
@applee Oh yes you're right. Now I see what it is... Thank you.
So I confirm there's no kind of such a Led working on Redmi Note 7, UT OTA-16 Stable.
Btw, there's no charge indicator on this device yet. Nothing's shown on the display when USB-C cable is plugged in, but battery does charge correctly anyway.
