      Hi folks,

Ever since updating to OTA-15, Ive noticed a few changes on my Nexus 5. I cant get my Hotspot to feature to work, also my bluetooth headset no longer works (lots of noise when the recipient answers the call, also I feel like my battery isnt lasting as long.

Is this just me or are there known issues?

      Many thanks.

@wayne_tbt I confirm the issues on Nexus 5, but not sure that came with OTA-15.

However, I could managed to get hotspot working by getting into "Settings => "Hotspot" menu => "Change Password & Configuration" => "Change" (right icon below, even if you change nothing). Than I can see my SSID on the other devices.
Warning: By turning off "Hotspot", normal Wifi does not come back (no wifi shown), even by turning WiFi off and on again. Only solution: Restart the device.

Concerning Bluetooth: I confirm a horrible sound in car (hard to understand the recipient), but that was already the case with OTA-14, so it not seems to be a regression from my point of view.

Btw, since OTA-15 I have sometimes problems answering phone calls. When I take an incoming call, the "telephone" application takes 1 to 2 seconds to open, and occasionally the call is disconnected. The second try generally works well. It seems that this issue happens randomly since OTA-15, but as I don't make many phone calls, I can't say for sure...

            Hi

I have a Nexus 5 which I am trying to connect to my car (Mercedes) using Bluetooth. It connects for a few seconds then gets disconnected.

I am running OTA-15 but this issue was also present prior to this update.

Do we have any idea when this may be resolved?

            Many thanks

              Hi @ko ,
Bluetooth is an issue in Ubuntu Touch.
It works for some system and mostly for music only, 2-ways audio (for phone calls) doesn't work AFAIK.

There is a thread where people share what BT devices are working with UT.

To get a chance to improve we will have to wait for the migration to 20.04.

I look forward to 20.04 and beyond.

I will search for the thread you mentioned.

@applee Maybe the upcoming Halium 7.1 port for Nexus 5, FP2, etc..., will improve somehow the Bluetooth reliabilty, but there's no guarantee that it will solve the whole BT issues.
