Which devices run Wayland?
Maybe there is a list somewhere, but I could not find any.
Is the Pinephone currently the only device that runs Wayland and will all newer Android devices run Wayland in the near future or will this take some time?

@johndoe postmarketos has a good list of devices that are running in various states, some with wayland
@johndoe Yes, only the Pine64 devices at the moment and I think RPi images as well, not sure on this though. There's indeed a plan to completely move to wayland since recent Mir version supports it anyway but it isn't simple so it will take time. This post explains what is needed to fully move to wayland. As much as I want this to happen soon, I don't see this happening because it seems that the Qt upgrade and 20.04 rebasing are the priorities for this year.

To be accurate, wayland isn't something which runs, so no devices are "running wayland."
To expand on that, Mir is a library for implementing compositors (and clients of those compositors), and it supports both MirClient and some Wayland protocols. This is true of all devices running Ubuntu Touch. However, only Wayland client protocol is used on the mainline kernel based devices, while MirClient is still used on Android devices. MirClient is deprecated in 1.x and removed from 2.0, so the plan is to move all devices to Wayland only, when the work can be done for that, and all the issues resolved with Wayland not supporting all the features of MirClient.
