Phone not powering on - One plus One phone
-
Hello.
I have a one plus one phone and this evening I set it up to charge and now it won't come on at all. I previously had been having charging issues about three weeks ago or so. At that previous time one of my parents suggested I try using a different charger cable than the one that comes with it. That seemed to be a fix, until tonight. I have no idea what to do. Help please! -
@ubangel92 Are you getting a charging indicator on the screen or anything? I would inspect the port on the phone to make sure you don't have trash built up inside it, or other issues. I would look closely with a jeweler's loupe or magnifying glass. I had similar sounding issues with my last phone I had and cleaning the charge port out with a toothbrush fixed it.

@tommy Just leave it plugged for a couple of hours, and then long press on the power button. It happened to me a couple of times that it took a while until it revived.

I've had this several times. Unable to restart it. I was able to restart it after several days at rest without touching it. But this time it won't restart after a week, but I don't despair !!
It has i think nothing to do with the battery, as remaining charged. Probably an Android bug,not sure.
Conversely, I've had the OPO shut itself down for no apparent reason !

I suggest it is likely damage to either the plug or its socket. It is a rather flimsy connector and prone to damage if the lead is tugged sideways.

I had this once: It fell to the ground, which popped the ribbon cable inside from its connector, making it unable to charge. Open the back cover, and check the connector cables.
