      I have a GS 290 which is the same hardware as Vollaphone and just wonder if it would be possible to install UBports on an SD card?

          @linadmin We do not support booting from SD card on Android phones, sorry.

            By design, or limitation (H/W, S/W)?

            That could be a good thing for people willing test uTouch without erasing actual OS, like with GNU/L live CD for PC.

              Well its more or less by design. And also as for every Android device, you will have to at least flash a new kernel since we cannot reuse the Android kernel. So that means you will have to unlock your phone, which normally results in loss of all data (as a precaution against hacking). So, there is no real "tryout" possible, unfortunately.

                  @keneda No I dont think that would work: Ubuntu Touch loads a mini-Android container that would totally conflict with the other hosting Android ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
