        It feels like the discussion above is getting off topic.

        @RogueRascal If you're still searching, I just came across this, SageTea Mobile. They say their devices run Ubuntu 64-bit desktop or any other distro. The hardware looks like a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

          @roguerascal With improvement to battery life, and availability questions (big ifs for now) -- a PinePhone running Mobian with convergence hub (dock) may be a solid bridge for 2 years to something to meet your complete priority list. Mobian is very stable overall and apps availability is good. A smaller set of apps work well on mobile screen, versus in docked "desktop" mode where display size is a non-issue. I have a longer review I can post but registered after seeing you post and don't know rules for long posts.

            @stanwood confirm, Im using xiaomi note 7 for 2 weeks as my main phone. No problems. No battery drains. Screen is good and quality of pictures also. I can recomend this hardware
