@rdl85 Well that's something. Can you post up your gprs file for me?
-
Good news on mms... No luck on my side sobfar either. Sorry to hijack the thread....but Are you guys getting reliable 4g (showing an L in the network indicator) ?

@aircooled Here is my gprs file:

MessageCenter=http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mbnscOn another positive, I received my first emoji tonight. Did not try to send mms back, too late. Will try tomorrow.
If it helps, I can also probably find the posted APN settings Public Mobile suggests I use to get mms/data and see if we can figure out what is and isn't lining up.

@standupmobile I do get the L on occasion but it comes and goes. That said, I am on a super cheap plan and I thought I was locked to 3G, so I haven't really worried about how consistent it is. I will watch it more closely for the next little while and keep you posted.
-
@standupmobile I'm getting pretty reliable 4G reception on my phone.
-
@rdl85 Thanks. This looks pretty similar to what I've got running here. Now if only someone from europe would post theirs.
-
@aircooled I just spoke with a person named Sebastian on the UBports QA and testing Telegram channel where he shared his APN settings (data and MMS) on his 3a that seem to work in Austria:
Hopefully this might inch us closer to MMS here in North America...
-
Update: it seems that I am getting regular mms in but I still can't send mms out. This makes me think our problem is more related to phone issues and not APN settings. I haven't changed.my APN settings since posting them.
Does this new realization give any one else a better idea of what might still be not working properly on this port?
-
@rdl85 If it wasn't working in europe I would agree. Also when I try and send an MMS I can watch the data connection reset.
-
@aircooled OK, so you still think it is all in the APN settings? How did you figure out your data was restarting everytime you try and send an MMS? I'd be curious to watch for that on my 3a as well.

At the time the data indicator would actually go dark and then light back up after the failed message appeared. It doesn't seems to happen since the last update.

@aircooled my mms is now working properly. I used the Public mobile settings shown on:https://www.apninfo.com/public-mobile-apn-settings. they may have accurate settings for other carriers in NA as well. Apologies for somewhat of a cross post but we have a few threads deaing with mms right now.
-
@aircooled note that MMS photos in and out are now reliable with wifi OFF. With wifi ON it is a problem, but broader than the P3a. Thanks to @fredldotme for the fixes:
