Fairphone 3/3+ (FP3/FP3+) Port - Halium 10
-
@koens You are absolutely right! Just started recovery mode and that fixed it! Thank you very much!
-
@koens yeah, I also got this confusing things, except of that mobile data never worked for me.
Sometimes the wifi gets "hidden" by the mobile data "sign", but it is still the WiFi network, which is connected.
As long as WiFi is connected I can make calls...If WiFi is not connected, the phone does not ring or something but I noticed, that the mobile data sign "L" switches to "3g" while the call is incoming. After that, it switches back to "L".
Strange things...
Do you get an internet connection in anbox-Apps?
Just saw, that you don't get internet in Anbox.
I believe that most Anbox issues are not port-specific, but Halium or UBports or just Anbox issues.Regarding keyboard on startup, that bug exists also in the Halium9 version, I am not sure what causes it. You can just swipe it down to hide it.
@thrill_seeker: Great that it works for you.
That recovery mode boot fix is totally new to me... but I have to say, that I don't have an FP3+, but an FP3 with new modules. Perhaps there are some differences in this regard. -
Hello @luksus !
My brand new Fairphone 3+ should arrive today.
The first thing I will do is to install your FP3+ Port !Keep up that great work !
-
Okay...
So installation success.
Boots if I first start it with the recovery mode !
I have tested many things and have more info for you:If I start a navigation program, the compass and GPS seems not to work.
And there is not internet connection through 3G/LTE.All other functions are working nicely.
If you can fix the above, you are my man
-
@contralto GPS should work. If I remember it correctly it is inactive at the first boot, so make sure to activate it.
Then you need to be outside (with a GPS using app active) and it can take up to 5-10 minutes to get the first fix.
After that, it should work.The GPS in UBports is currently not assisted by wifi or mobile network, as it is on Android, which makes them really fast on getting a first GPS-position fix.
-
@luksus Ah ok, I will try it tomorrow.
I found a other bug:
If I call someone, there is no sound on the phone call... -
@contralto said in Fairphone 3/3+ (FP3/FP3+) Port - Halium 10:
If I call someone, there is no sound on the phone call...
It is not ringing? Or you can't hear the other person?
-
@luksus It´s not ringing and I can´t hear anything.
The call is established successfully
System sounds are working...
I will try to connect a bluetooth headset and tell you again, please wait... -
Oh, Bluetooth headset connected, but I cannot change the output source
-
@contralto hm, I am not sure how a bluetooth headset is supposed to work in UBports, but a bluetooth speaker is just "used" automatically if it is connected. But to be honest, I did not test it yet, with the FP3.
That there is no sound in calls is also a new issue to me.
Perhaps you could try to install the uVolman app and see if you could change some necessary parameters there. -
@luksus Have tried.
Not working.
I can change the Master volume and Input Volume in uVolMan.
It´ s at max now an nothing happens.
Can I generate a log file for you ? -
And there is not internet connection through 3G/LTE.
Did you set correctly your carrier apn? You should manually introduce those data both in Internet + MMS settings.
-
@stanwood Yes.
I can write and receive text messaged and I can call and receive a call.
But there is only no sound in the call.
On the other side, there is also no sound.
So it seems sound and microphone seems not to work. -
@contralto Weird. I hope it's not a hardware issue...
Did you try it with the stock rom?
Also try to reinstall UT again using the installer without check the wipe option... -
@stanwood I will install the original system tomorrow and try to make a call.
If it works, I reinstall ubtouch and wipe also the data partition.
I have only test the things today.It´s the first time I´m using ubtouch.
I miss only my password manager as application...If the calls are working and internet via 3g or lte, it´s perfekt and I will use it every day.
-
GPS works fine here.
The only 'hardware' that doesn' work is 3G/4G @Luksus is this something you could fix? This is the only thing i realy mis.
I gave up on finding out why anbox doesn't has the shared internet connextion - any tips?
Installed some apps from ubuntu - this is greatKind regards,
Koen -
All right.
I have fully reinstalled the original OS and tested everything.
Now I have the ubtouch again with fully wiped data partition.- Phone calls are now working (sound available) !
- GPS is working after ~3-5 min
What´s not working:
- Anbox with internet - I need some apps for charging my car...
- 3G/4G - must have
-
I would like to know if there is any way in which we could help, regarding this issues. Specifically, I am interested in:
- Mobile data
- Internet in anbox
I am not a software developer but I have some notions! Thanks!
-
@luksus is there somewhere a donating button I have missed?
-
Incoming calls are working with mobile data disabled AND WLAN off - no connection... But Mobile Data doesn't work well.. Maybe wrong config (APN)? Doesn't look like. But internet is default disabled. Why? Why is the internet apn disabled... I think it is a configure / setup / software to hardware error
Or it is just connection (I see a L for LTE or 3G, just things as that if I activate mobile data. But it comes instant (is this normal?). It looks for me like it works but doesn't use it. Like, it doesn't thinks it is internet. Doesn't know how to handle with. IT DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO SEARCH FOR INTERNET. I see that because browser shows instant "no conn..."
Also, the hotspot isn't working
It is spinning around... around and again around
I HAD TO START RECOVERY FIRST BOOT, ELSE JUST STUCK AT BOOT LOGO. IT LOOKS LIKE TWRP AND STUFF DOESN'T HANDLE WELL WITH DATA PART!!! BECAUSE ANDROID ALSO SHOWED THAT
I HOPE you fix mobile data SOON. I prefer it if not at home, what else should I take??thank you for the port. FP3, installed Android again with YOUR LINK
