Halium 7.1 Test Channel
-
@keneda interesting! I have to with my FP2 (stable channel) when leaving plane mode. It is not the case with halium channel. I think with my BQ E5 I did not have to but not sure I remember well.
-
@redxxiii It's sth to do with the FP2. It's probably a companion bug to the whole plane mode permanently deactivates data thing. I'd be curious to see if halium 7 fixes that bug btw... Anybody willing to try and activate flight mode and see if cellular data is grayed out when you go back to normal ?
-
@emphrath not grayed for me. This was corrected in a OTA few time ago I think.
-
@redxxiii i'm running ota-17 and it's not fixed. If this is actually fixed on your side of things, then sth rather strange is happening to me ^^
-
@emphrath hum... I m still on halium channel but need to go back to stable. I will tell you if something change. But maybe ask on telegram?
-
Hi! So I wiped my phone and did a fresh install with halium channel. Camera and flash are working now! Flashlight still don't. Any news about that? And also mtp usb do not work. But otherwise all seems to be stable. I ll let you know if i see anything else. Good job guys!
-
@emphrath all ok for me. I can activate and deactivate flight mode or data and all is ok. I ll try hotspot to check if it works well.
-
Hello! Today I updated my FP2 with version 91. And it seems that auto brightness is not working anymore. Have you experienced this too?
-
@redxxiii version 92 and still the same.
-
@redxxiii nice ! Thx for the update !
-
@redxxiii I have the same issue on rc since last wensday. So its not 7.1. exclusive
-
@tobsend ok thanks. I ll let you know if some fix comes to halium-devel channel. I m in version 93 now.
-
@tobsend got the same pb with my bq e5 in devel channel. So it is not only fp2 related.
-
What is the current status of the halium 7.1 Port?
-
Not much developments. I had not time last months, and nobody stepped up to help fixing things so far
If we continue on this speed we can go for Halium 9 instead
-
@flohack Pardon my intrusion. Is halium 9 even possible on FP2?
-
@jezek If it has an official LineageOS then yes
-
The latest official build of lineageOS for the FP2 is 18.1 so there should be one for 16.0 aswell
-
Ok so halium 9 is also theoretically doable on 1+1 ^^
-
I needed to test something on halium-devel on FP2, so while I switched to version 161 I made some observations. As mentioned in this thread before, automatic brightness, flaslight and camera-app are not working. Screen rotation (accelerometer) doesn't work too. Calls & messaging are working as expected, but the irritating loud beeping when the other person hangs the call is still there. I can't use the phone as daily driver like this, going back to halium 5.1 (rc).
@Flohack As @TobsEnd claimed, there is a lineageOS for FP2, so it would make more sense to skip the 7.1 and go for 9 instead. The Waydroid project, which works on halium 9 looks very promising.
