Oneplus One possibly bricked

@monty46
Try 0.8.6 instead 0.8.4, maybe.
Your phone still boots so not really bricked i think.

@keneda thanks will try that. Tried flashing the original rom again but the error on some files is remote: partition flashing is not allowed. A search seems to indicate this is given when bootloader is not unlocked, but it definitely is.
-
@monty46 tried the newer version, no Internet error which is good but it still stalls at the unlock bootloader (already unlocked)
-
@monty46 So you have twrp installed? If so use it to wipe and clear and format all partitions. Then reboot to bootloader and try the installer again and pick the wipe option and bootstrap option and try again.

This guide helped me out last year when UT installation failed the first time and my OPO got stuck: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-return-your-opo-to-100-stock-current-build-cm13-1-2-znh2kas3p0.2826541/
After that I was able to install UT successful using the UBports installer. -
All fine, the Oneplus one i bought off ebay is a oneplus 3! Not installed ut but now have a working phone.

lol, so this is not an Oneplus one at all ^^
You can try with good ubports image, maybe it'll work then, as a port exists for the O+3 : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/oneplus3/

I just installed UT on a One+ I bought off eBay. Can't wait until the PinePhone is this mature!
-
@keneda nope it was a 3t. Never had a oneplus before, it said oneplus on it so assumed it was one given thats what i had ordered. Didn't go with the 3t version as need it for daily stuff.

@monty46
uTouch on 3/3T seems to be quite daily usable from device page. -

Yeah, it's rather confusing that the brand name is Oneplus and the models have names like One, 2 and 3.

@monty46 how did you get to the stage of something saying "bootloader unlock"? I couldnt find that setting in the developer option and all I've managed so far is to have it sit on "flashing firmware" and the phone showing "fastboot mode" for ever, nothing seems to happen and when I give up and disconnect the phone boots back into android
