Can’t get my phone to get past the nexus powered by Ubuntu screen. Install seem good I’ve tried many things. It just stays there like it’s froze. I’ve tried Win10 and Ubuntu.

@lduboeuf I've retried several times. I bought it off of ebay and it had lineageos 14 on it. I put hammerhead 6.0.1. If that helps

@ubguy humm, i'm not a "installer" guy, but have you checked " Wipe personal data" and "Flash system partitions using fastboot" ?
Couldn't it be related to partition format ? IDK if you need to do something special when reinstalling the stock Android version

Yes, all the partitions need to be corrected back to standard before UT will install correctly. Normally flashing stock android should do it but there are tools out there to help. Use the wipe option as mentioned by @lduboeuf andfollow the installer instructions and let the installer complete.

You can also find the release version in the system settings.

Ive installed ut on nexus 5 several times each phone is different. My tips would be to start with android rom with twrp. Unlocked then use ubports. I use it from snap. But also restarting ur computer. On my nexus 7 i had to be in su on ubports even tho its not recommended. Lol id try alot. Restart, reflash android, use snap package, try several times sometimes it works the fourth time. Also when you do install it and its in the ubunti touch logo it usually stays there for quite some time, pretty sure its still installing. Let it sit there for like 20 min on charger.
Thats all i got. I do know u can do manual install but havent had todo that yet
