Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition: is it 'safe' to change to UBports?

Hi all,
some years ago I bought an Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition. I'm following Ubports project from the beginning and I'd know if today there are good chance to have my E5 that continue to work properly if I follow the instruction on https://ubports.com/page/get-ubuntu-touch . Or if it's better to wait for other improvements. On the forum I read that some users had problems with E4.5 and also E5 trying to update them. -
@MV My update of a BQ E4.5 went smothly after fixing some small issues in the update scripts for Linux.

@guru thanks! So with a friend that is more expert than me (I'm only a user), should be able to fix any small problem.

I am using E5, upgraded from Ubuntu Touch OTA-15/16 (what's the last was there?).
I've used UBPorts installer from https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases , it kept all the data. I did have to install some apps again, but everything works as before, including issues from Ubuntu Touch timeline

@Talkless I use my Bq E5 changed to ubports as described above. Everything works and I am only a user

I have updated my E5 to UBPorts using the magic device tool and all went fine. The os is good on my phone and I like it so much I have moved my M10 over too. I have moved a friends OnePlus One and this works good too. I wooed suggest you go for it.
