Where/how to you get to putting your phone on RC/Dev channels of UT?

Okay, so dumb question because I can't seem to find anything on this. Where exactly do you go, i.e. what do you have to do to enable/install the Dev, or RC channels of UT on your device? I'm trying to test a fix for MMS.
Speaking of, my second question is, what is the difference between the dev and the RC channels of UT?

Go to :
settings app
system / updates
upright corner / update setting wheel
there you have 3 options from one is channel setting. -
@nocturn-adrift If you thing of Dev (Development) as experimental not reall for daily use and RC (Release Candidate) the last stage before Stable and might occasionally have a slight issue but is normally stable. Dev gets daily updates, RC weekly ones.
