      Hello,

When using TELEports to type messages, the keyboard automatically enables autocorrect, it adds a bar on top of the keyboard, suggests words while typing and autocorrects if needed.

When typing in an input or a textarea HTML5 in Morph browser or in a web application this feature is not enabled and it seems that adding autocorrect="on" does not change anything. How could I enabled it to make the typing experience better?

Before i don't remember which update, aurocorrect/word proposal was enabled in web browser like in messaging app(s).

But it was disabled for a reason i ignore (i think i red somewhere that's because it was not working properly, even if it was working perfectly for me), and yes, it's a thing that is very usefull that misses me everyday, and likelly lot of other users.

Thank you for your anwser @Keneda!
Ok so it has been disabled globally, it's not something that we can enable manually.

I'm curious about where you read this. Beside the main Ubports documentation and the blog I cannot find any technical documentation about Ubuntu Touch, it feels missing. Do you have other resources to learn this kind of informations?

Yes, it was intentionally disabled in QtWebEngine because it's not really working reliably. In many cases, it can actually mess up what you're typing because the keyboard can't detect the typed words properly.

Maybe an option to disable it by user would had be better.
I never had issue myself. It worked on browser for me like it works on messaging app.

@keneda That might not be technically simple but I'm surprised it worked fine for you 😄
