Gmail and dekko

Hello all ! I know the topic's been broached before but my understanding is that the problem was fixed - i for myself can't get gmail to work with dekko. I don't have error messages or anything, my inbox just stays empty. For those of you who use this setup, how did you pull it off ? Thx

I can't help specifically with Gmail.
As a workaround you can try using the K9 Mail app in Waydroid. It may connect automatically and give you the settings needed for dekko.
I had problems with Dekko with another mail server until I realized i was mixing up IMAP and SMTP settings. Also i had to use 'LOGIN' rather than 'PLAIN' authentication, and 'force encryption'.

@treebeard thx for the answer. It's of no help to me, sadly, as I can't use waydroid, and i'd rather not use the gmail webapp. Btw i'm on bacon halium-dev

@emphrath First have you enabled less secure apps in your google account security settings? If not do that first, Then entre your your google account details in the System Setting, Accounts on your UT device. Then just entre your account details in Dekko and it shouls work. Other than that set up your account details in Dekko and when thats done use Dekko settings to check that the details for incoming and outgoing are correct in Dekko itself. Sometimes it get the login or other such details wrong.
